Aren't you a helpful individual?

I still get disoriented in big cities, like Droknar's, after a year. And minimap doesn't have that much use in cities anyways, so I wouldn't find additional icons "cluttering" it up.

The problem with alt is that it only goes so far and if you try to move your mouse over them, it clutters up with idiotic people.

Yeah, thats really annoying. When pressing ALT, or CTRL for that matter, the names shouldn't jump around so much. It's SO annoying trying to click that one name you're looking for, when it jumps all over your screen...
*NO I didn't want YOU in my party, I'm trying to click on Talon overthere!! AARGH*

Goodness... please tell me why you think this is a bad idea? How can this be in anyway a bad idea?

ALT is handy for close range, but map icons would do wonders if massive cities like K-Centre.

Oh and I like helping newbies if are lost, maybe you should try being nice and maybe the game will be a little less annoying and a lot more rewarding

I think it's a good idea, but for people like Titan that like a "clean" map maybe you could make it to where these symbols/text only appear when you press alt down as well?

It could be helpful to newbies, but it's probably just clutter to everybody else. Seriously, once you've found it, how often do you forget where the Xunlai/henchmen are? :/ Sounds like a forthcoming update for people who couldn't find their ass with both hands and a map...

I'm really surprized by this comment, and others made by people in this tread? Is it Nation "Be rude on the GWG Forums Week"?

I'm sure if they added this in it be toggle, and again I'm sure the map would most likely only show the Henchmen and storage location, and maybe the merchant NPC, not everything!

I've been playing both GW games since release, and I sometimes forget where the storage is.

I'll never understand why people complain about anything added to this game?

How would this update (If it is added) be a bad thing? lol

I have only one advice for these people; Press [Alt] and look around. That way I might not have given him a fish, but I learned him how to catch one

^ As it's been mentioned, I don't see how this is a bad thing. It's really not going to be that much clutter. Holding down ALT only works when close to what your looking for, and big towns like K-Center have largely repeating landscapes. It's very easy to spend a frustrating minute trying to get your bearings. I'd don't spend much time in town, so why would I have every location of every storage and merchant memorized? Again, I really don't see why people are shooting down the idea. Never look at improved or additional content with disdain.

I would love to have those locations shown on the map with the ability of clicking the spot to make your character walk there.

simple, for the people that think it clutters up their map, allow a tick-box in the UI editor to turn it off, like the helpful hints tipbox. it is a good idea...

Exactly. More GUI options are always a good thing. Especially if you can turn them on and off. Then, everyone's happy, even the grumpy ones like Eudas and titan0987.

Oh leave off Eudas and titan. Y'all act like you play the game solely to help new players, and I'm not buying it. Yeah sure, you can come on a forum and pretend to be a saint, and put down people who don't share your enlightened opinion, because no one can verify your in-game actions one way or another...but does it really matter that much?
